Foudy’s Hat-Trick Lifts Isles to Victory over Phantoms

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Finishing their first half at Total Mortgage Arena, the Bridgeport Islanders took the ice with a chance to move within one point of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms for fifth place in the Atlantic Division. Islanders Gain Point in Shootout Loss to Comets, 2-1

UTICA, NY – The Islanders stepped onto the ice for the penultimate game before the All-Star break looking to finish their last regular season trip to Upstate New York with a victory against the Utica Comets. With the game tied heading into overtime, no one prevailed in the extra session. Islanders Drop Home Contest to Bruins, 2-1

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – On a six-game point streak inside Total Mortgage Arena, the Bridgeport Islanders welcomed the Providence Bruins for a weeknight matchup, looking to extend their season-best stretch. In a tightly contested contest which saw the Islanders record 37 shots, the Bruins skated away with a 2-1 victory. Full Story…

 

Roster Notes

  • Maggio's multi-point game was his eighth of the season on Saturday. The Islanders are 8-0-0-0 when their 23-year-old forward records multiple points in a game.
  • Beckman's goal on Saturday gave him a five-game point streak against the Phantoms. The Islanders are 4-1-0-0 over that span, while Beckman has recorded nine points against Lehigh Valley this season (6-4–10).
  • Foudy's hat-trick on Saturday gave him a five-game point streak (5-3–8) against the Phantoms. He has recorded 15 points over his past 13 games, with the Islanders going 8-3-0-2 over that span. The Islanders are 2-0-0-1 when Foudy records a multi-goal game.
  • After a 15-game pointless drought, Drew has recorded 12 points (6-6–12) in his last 12 games.
  • Isaiah George's assist on Foudy's second goal on Saturday gave him a new single-season high with 11 assists. He currently leads the team with a +11 rating
  • Bridgeport’s game on Tuesday, February 17th against Utica will be broadcast on Sirius XM Radio on the NHL Network channel. 
  • Pierrick Dube is day to day with a lower-body injury
  • Alex Jefferies is day to day with a lower body injury.
  • Eetu Liukas remains out indefinitely with an upper body injury
