WTNH Joins Sound Tigers Weekend Party

The Bridgeport Islanders have brought high-octane, family-friendly entertainment to Webster Bank Arena since 2001. But kids and families aren’t the only ones who consider an American Hockey League contest as a destination for weekend fun.

“Every Friday night, we try to do something for our adult fans such as “Hockey and Hops,” a $2 beer special with live music before the game, and almost have a bar-type atmosphere in here,” Sound Tigers President of Business Operations Brent Rossi said.

Whether you’re a first-timer or a season ticket holder, your game experience is the most important thing.

“I want fans to feel like they’re coming to our home - they’re welcome here,” Webster Bank Arena General Manager Matt Herpich said. “Fun, safe, enjoyable environment. That’s what we’re striving for.”

“You can watch anything on television, but it’s no comparison to watching it live,” said Scott Robinson, a Webster Bank Arena suite holder. “Nothing like a good beer and hockey.”

Watch as WTNH and CT Style reporter Natasha Lubczenko goes inside the arena to show us all of the adult fun a Sound Tigers’ game can offer!
