Islanders Gain Point in Overtime Loss to Bruins, 3-2
PROVIDENCE, RI. – The Bridgeport Islanders headed to Providence to battle the streaking Bruins on Sunday afternoon. The Isles looked for redemption from the loss at home against the Bruins the previous night. Bruins Defeat Islanders 4-2 in Return from All-Star Break
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – In their first game after the All-Star break, the Bridgeport Islanders returned home to Total Mortgage Arena for the first game of a back-to-back against the Atlantic Division-leading Providence Bruins. - Matthew Highmore recorded his first multi-goal game of the season with a two-goal performance against the Bruins on Sunday. He also finished with a team high six shots on goal on Sunday afternoon.
- Adam Beckman leads the team in goals (18) and shots with 112 in 44 games played
- Isaiah George leads the team in +/- with a +11 rating this season
- Hunter Drew is currently on a three-game point streak (1G, 3A)
- In three games this season, Jeremy Smith stopped 66 of 70 shots faced
- Bridgeport outshot Providence 31-16 in Sunday's game.

- This past week, Bridgeport recognized former player, Chris Bourque, who was inducted into the AHL Hall of Fame and became the 1st inductee of the Bridgeport hockey family. Chris was a key member of the 2018-19 team and along with his brother Ryan, led the Sound Tigers to a 95-point finish which was the fifth highest point total in team history.
- Bridgeport signed centerman Scott Reedy to a professional contract tryout contract (PTO). He will wear #42
- Eutu Liukas remains out indefinitely with an upper-body injury
