Highmore and Warren Recalled to NY Islanders
Oct 23, 2025Bridgeport, CT — It was announced today by the New York Islanders that the team has recalled forward Matthew Highmore and defenseman Marshall Warren.
Highmore, 29, hails from Halifax, Nova Scotia. This season, he skated in four games with Bridgeport registering four assists. Last season, he played 41 games for the Ottawa Senators, recording two goals and four assists. He's played 187 NHL games in his career with Chicago, St. Louis, Vancouver and Ottawa.
Warren, 24, was originally drafted by the Minnesota Wild in the sixth round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. In his second full season of professional hockey, Warren started the year strong, scoring two goals and three assists for five points in four games, and is currently Bridgeport’s leading scorer. A native of Laurel Hollow, New York, Warren was named AHL Player of the Week after the first week of play this season.
Bridgeport is back in action tomorrow on the road against the Hartford Wolf Pack at 7:00 PM, followed by another road game against the Providence Bruins on Sunday at 3:05 PM. The team returns home Wednesday night to face the Hershey Bears at Total Mortgage Arena for a 7:00 PM puck drop.
