Terry and Islanders Stun Americans in 5-4 Comeback Victory
Rochester, NY – The Bridgeport Islanders rolled into Upstate New York to battle the North Division’s Rochester Americans in a rematch from last Saturday night in Bridgeport. The first of back-to-back games away from home, the Islanders did their best to set the tone and begin the weekend with a couple more points in a tightly contested Atlantic Division. During the game, the Islanders, who were down by three goals, roared back to tie the contest in the final period and then win the game with a late Chris Terry goal in his 899th AHL game. Full Story…

Bridgeport Drops Road Contest to Crunch, 5-3
Syracuse NY – The Islanders headed into Syracuse to battle the Crunch coming off the most dramatic victory of the season one night earlier in Rochester. The Isles were at the ending of a two-game road trip away from home as they continued their fight against North Division foes. Battling against the Crunch into the final period of regulation with a tied game, it was a goal by the home team that told the story as the Islanders left the contest defeated by a 5-3 score. Roster Notes:
- Chris Terry played his 900th AHL game on Saturday night in Syracuse where he registered two assists on the night.
- Cam Berg now leads the AHL in scoring a first goal of a game with five this season. All five of his goals scored have given the Islanders a 1-0 lead.
- Chris Terry (1G, 4A), Matthew Highmore (1G, 2A) and Marc Gatcomb (2G, 1A) are all currently on a three-game point streak.
- Joey Larson is tied for second in goal scoring amongst rookies in the AHL with eight
- Cole McWard leads the team with a +8 and is tied for eighth in the league in that category.
- Julien Gauthier is four games away from 400 games played in his professional career.
- Sean Day is nine games away from 300 AHL games played
- Julien Gauthier was unavailable last weekend due to illness. He has resumed skating and is day to day.
- Liam Foudy has resumed skating and is day to day with lower body injury
- Isaiah George is day to day with an upper body injury
