Isles Outlast Comets in 2-1 Victory

Bridgeport, Conn. – Hosting the Utica Comets for a Tuesday night tilt at Total Mortgage Arena, the Bridgeport Islanders skated away with a crucial two points thanks to a third-period goal from Matthew Highmore, which cemented their 2-1 victory. Full Story…

Isles Lose in a Shootout to Thunderbirds, 5-4

Springfield, Mass. – Heading into a weekend against Atlantic Division opponents, the Bridgeport Islanders realized there were important points on the line in the standings. On Friday night, against the Springfield Thunderbirds, they battled against a team nipping at their heels in a race for a playoff spot. With the game tied after regulation and overtime, the game went to a shootout where the Thunderbirds scored the only goal in three rounds, and the Isles took a point in the 5-4 loss. Full Story…

Isles Come Up Short on Road Vs. Penguins

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, PA. – Saturday night marked the first of two straight games against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins with the first contest on the road for the Bridgeport Islanders. During the contest, despite being up by a pair of goals in the first period, the Isles couldn’t hang on and end up losing the contest to the Pens, 4-3. Full Story…

Islanders Fall to Penguins, 4-0 

Bridgeport, Conn. – Returning to Total Mortgage Arena for their third game in three days and the latter half of a back-to-back with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, the Bridgeport Islanders were blanked by their Atlantic Division rivals, 4-0. Full Story…

 

Roster Notes:

  • The Islanders will face the Charlotte Checkers on Wednesday night at home. This will mark the first of four meetings between the two teams this season. 
  • Isaiah George continues to lead the team in +/- with at +10. 
  • Liam Foudy and Adam Beckman are currently tied for the team lead in goals scored with 19 each. 
  • Adam Beckman is three points away from tying his career high point total reached during the 2022-23 season with the Iowa Wild. 
  • Eutu Liukas remains out indefinitely with an upper body injury.
