First Period Propels Islanders Over Wolf Pack In Teddy Bear Toss Victory

Bridgeport, CT – The Bridgeport Islanders have made it a habit to light the lamp early, and their first home matchup of the season against the Hartford Wolf Pack continued that trend. Islanders Drop Road Contest to Comets, 5-1

December 5th, 2025

Utica, NY— The Islanders stepped into the Adirondack Bank Center on Friday night in Utica, New York with the goal in mind of beating a North Division opponent and creating momentum as they head back home on Saturday to battle the Wolf Pack. However, they put themselves in a four-goal deficit and couldn’t overcome it during the game and skated away with the loss, 5-1. Full Story…

 

Roster Notes:

  • Friday night in Utica was Hunter Drew’s 300th AHL game played
  • Adam Beckman’s three-point night on Saturday (1G, 2A) was his first since 3/12/23 (2G, 1A) as a member of the Iowa Wild against the Manitoba Moose. 
  • Marshall Warren registered his third multi-point night of the season on Saturday against the Wolf Pack. That ties Cole McWard amongst Bridgeport defensemen 
  • Bridgeport Leads all AHL teams in first period goals with 29. 
  • Daylan Kuefler’s two-assist game on Saturday was the first multi-point night of his professional career
  • The Islanders only have two home games remaining in the entire month of December with the remaining six games on the road 
  • Rocky Thompson’s win on Saturday was his 121st of his AHL head coaching career
  • Isaiah George remains day to day
  • Julien Gauthier remains week to week with a lower-body injury
